How it works

Ten years of comments is not something you delete by hand. Reddit gives you one delete link per item, a confirmation for each, and a profile that only loads twenty five at a time. Doing it properly takes an evening you will not get back.

Sweepsy adds a panel to your own profile page on old.reddit.com and works those same delete links for you. Start with the filters: only items older than a number of days, only a given subreddit, only items containing a keyword. Leave them blank and it catches everything.

Then run the preview. The dry run counts exactly what matches on the page in front of you and tells you that more pages follow. Nothing is deleted until you click Start and confirm, which is the point of having it.

Once running, Sweepsy removes one item every two to three seconds, keeps a counter of what it has done, follows your profile's pagination on its own, and stops itself if Reddit starts refusing. Pause and resume whenever you like. If you would rather your old comment text did not linger in a cache somewhere, turn on the overwrite option and each comment is replaced before it is deleted.

Deletions are carried out by Reddit and are permanent, which is exactly why the preview comes first. Sweepsy runs only on old.reddit.com, and only on profile pages belonging to the account you are logged in as. It is an independent tool and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Reddit, Inc.

Everything stays on your device

Sweepsy reads one thing: the posts and comments listed on your own profile pages, so it can apply your filters and delete what you asked it to. Your filter settings and the progress of a run are kept in your browser's local storage, which is what lets a run survive the page loads that Reddit's pagination causes.

There is no server, no account and no analytics. The extension makes no network requests of its own beyond an optional license check if you buy Pro, and it reads no browsing activity outside old.reddit.com.

Questions

How do I bulk delete my Reddit posts?

Reddit has no bulk delete of its own, so it has to be done one item at a time. Sweepsy automates that: open your profile on old.reddit.com, set your filters, run the preview, then start. It clicks the same delete buttons you would, in order, across every page of your history.

Can I delete all my Reddit comments at once?

Yes. Leave the filters blank and start from the comments tab of your profile, and Sweepsy works through the lot, continuing on to the next page each time it clears one. The free tier stops after 25 in a run, so a full history clear is what Pro is for.

Is it safe to bulk delete Reddit comments?

The deletions themselves are permanent and there is no undo, from Reddit or from us, so preview first. The deliberate pace of one item every two to three seconds is there to keep your account well inside normal use, and Sweepsy stops on its own if requests start failing.

Does Sweepsy work on new Reddit?

It runs on old.reddit.com only, because that layout exposes the delete controls it needs. Your account and your content are the same on both, so visit old.reddit.com with your normal login and everything is there.
